I've looked at all the reviews and since I can't pay for everything up front I'm going to get a toshiba tv from tiger direct. I just want to know which model I should get.

I'm leaning towards the first 1 since it has lots of positive reviews. The tv in the 2nd link has 4 hdmi inputs, but its missing the colorburst technology and I can't find any reviews for it.

forget the colorburst...it is a Toshiba thing that isn't being adopted by the HDMI spec.

make sure you get a set that will do 24 fps )

Both Tvs have HDMI ports.

The 42HL167 HAS 3 hdmi ports, its from 07 and has colorburst tech, lots of positive reviews

The 42RV530U has 4 hdmi ports, its cheaper on the tosh website, has little reviews because its new.

Heres more info, I hear the new 1 has 24fps and a 15000:1 contrast ratio, I just still wonder why its cheaper than the 07 model.

I have the 42HL167 and I am very pleased with it. From what I can tell, the new model is thinner overall, has a thinner bezel and improved contrast control. Black levels are not an issue. The only minor annoyances are a slightly tinny sound from the soundbar on some broadcast materials and the brushed steel trim on the bottom of the bezel.
