Stellllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Man I haven't had a Guinness in a while. Ummmmm Best HD DVD...I guess you mean picture quality?

There are a few for me, basically anything animated, Fast and the Furious, and the third one (Tokyo Drift), The Matrix, V For Vendetta looks pretty good also, Batman Begins (holy Universal titles Batman), Chronicles of Riddick looked good and I remember thinking the DVD version looked good also, Grand Prix, Stardust, Mi3, Letters From Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers, Troy (Directors Cut)...oh and of course 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I know I'm forgetting many right now so that's just a quick list. Now I really need a Guinness.

There are others like the BBC Planet Earth Series (which I have coming) and Beowulf (another animated) but I haven't seen them yet.

I know we've done this before but maybe some of the blurayers can post their favs in terms of picture and/or sound?

The Searchers is the best when compared to other releases, I only have the HD Dvd version but im sure the blu-ray is the same if not better. The best way to see The Duke.

I sent a email to Toshiba after they announced they were leaving the HD-DVD market - basically I said I was happy with my machine and was looking forward to many years service from it.

They sent me seven HD-DVD titles to thank me for my comments included in those was Jimi Hendrix live at Monterey - I love it. I'd never really listened to him before.

On a side note - I did ok with my Toshiba purchase. I paid full price for my player one week before the WB announcement but decided to keep it.
Along with the 7 free title from the initial purchase, Toshiba sent me two further titles after the WB announcement, and then an additional 7 titles after their Feb 19th announcement. So in total my player came with 16 free titles.
