I saw a trailer for 'The Last Samurai' before 'The Matrix Reloaded' began, and I have to say that it was much more powerful than the more-than-two-hours feature that followed it. [:(]

Henning, I'm not asking for 'The Matrix' movies to be the most thought-provoking films of all time. However, I AM asking that they establish some ground rules and abide by them rather than running around in circles. Once you see the movie, then you'll understand--if nothing is to be taken at face value, then what's the point of watching the movie? Who's to say that there isn't another reality beyond what's presented as reality to us? It's very self-masturbatory.

I'm yet to see the Matrix sequel but I enjoyed the first one. It may not be the most philosophic movie of the year but it was nice to see a action film that had a pretty good story and some new ways to show it's action.

Much better than xXx anyhow.

What's cool is that if Tom Cruise is up for Best Actor for 'The Last Samurai' at next year's Oscars, Nicole Kidman might end up giving the statuette to her ex-husband. I really want to see them back together again, even if it is for something as simple as an award-giving. [:)]

Cool! Sounds like a great flick! If Poster 5 didn't like it much then I know I'm going to love it!

A funny thing is that that trailer nearly resultet in the movie being boycot here in Denmark. Apparrently Warner demands that the Last Samurai trailer be shown before Matrix Reloaded. But Last Samurai does not open in Denmark until 2004, so the owners of the cinemas where very upset about having to show the trailer so early. Thankfully the film was not delayed after all.

How in the world could Tom be up for best actor for next years oscars? From what I understand, they don't vote on their selections until next year. Where do you get your information...wishful-thinking.com?

You were blown away? I recommend that you read some real philosophy and watch any number of Asian martial arts films for more articulate thoughts and better fight sequences than what you can find in any of the 'The Matrix' films/videos/video games. It is so painfully obvious that none of the major stars in these movies knows anything about martial arts (the choreographers and the visual effects technicians have to compensate for the actors' shortcomings, so those fights look stupid). As for those rambling musings...ugh. The Wachowski brothers may indeed be genius-level smart, but the ideas that they pieced together for 'The Matrix' are a lukewarm mish-mash.

Funny how I haven't mentioned anything about piracy or the fact that I quit?!?!?

Anyway, you're not worth it, Eddie.
