HD piracy seems to be running rampant already. This is from one of the torrent sites I visit regularly. I won't say the name here so as to not advertise or seem to advocate piracy, but damn is that a lot!!! Most of them are around 25-30GB downloads. Most of them are active with lots of seeders and of course hundreds of leechers.

390 links to Blu-Ray torrents

and

600+ links for HD DVD torrent (I stopped counting at 600, but there were plenty more)

Yikes that can't be good for the studios. Especially if you can save them on a hard drive and watch them on your TV at 1080P/24 with hidef sound.

I'm not surprised this happened, but I am surprised it happened so soon. I figured we were at least a year away from pirating HD movies. I'd imagine that once BR burners become affordable, we'll be seeing bootleg movies all over flea markets and eBay.
