Save your money on this one and buy "Point Blank" with Lee Marvin.

I once rented the Widescreen Dolby 2.0 Surround Laserdisc of POINT BREAK back in the mid-1990s from a local Blockbuster. The film DOES have some awesome action scenes, a very lively soundtrack, and some cool outdoor surfing and skydiving footage, and even Gary Busey too! (hehe)
However, the film's script (by James Cameron) at times is quite unbelievable, hyped-up acting, and ultimately a disappointment, including a lame 'Thelma and Louise'-like ending (a death into the 'surf' waters). But, since it's been a long-time since I've seen the film, I'll definitely enjoy a Blu-ray rental when released.
The director, Kathryn Bigelow, faired MUCH better with her next major Hollywood production four years later - STRANGE DAYS, and I would definitely consider buying this film over Point Break, if released. Also loved the soundtrack in SDays too.
