I got my free movies! but...

Well I got my free movies from Toshiba Today... WOOT... but... there's a Downside. I only got ONE of the ones I chose.

Okay... okay... they were free... yes. Sadly I already have Doom on DVD and never found it worthy of HD-DVD'ness... I already have the Volume's 1-5 Harry Potter set.. Streets of Fire sounds okay... but BULLETPROOF?! Good GOD!


Anyone wanna trade?

Actually, I received my movies just recently also. And in the span of the 12 weeks it took to get them, I forgot and already picked up a copy of Pitch Black. So, I could trade you my Pitch Black for your Harry Potter disc?

Bulletproof is one of Adam Sandlers better movies! I think him and Damon Wayans really worked well together in this movie.

One of my favorite exchanges between Adam Sandler's character, and Damon Wayans's characters:

"You know how I know this is a 70's porno?"

"How?"

"That guy's dick has sideburns!"

I haven't gotten my 5 free movies yet, but if I don't get the ones I asked for.....GRRRR.

I wonder if they are 'running out' of on hand stock of their give away movies, and now just giving out whatever.

Nice... I'll think about it. The more I think about it the more I might not mind having a second copy... considering that it is the HD-DVD/DVD combo format... it might be nice to have around.

I'll take Bulletproof if you don't want it.

Bahh... I've been thinking about it and I think I'll keep them. I mean free is free right? I'm just a little bothered that I didn't get what I wanted from them.

Just got off the phone with the "perfect offer" folks. I sent my form in at the end of Feb. and had them put me in the computer even before they got the form. Sped things up as when I called today, the movies were boxed up ready to go.

Now, I asked which ones I was getting since it has become clear that people are not getting the ones they requested (not a big deal, they are free...)

I will be getting the following:

BABEL
HP5
Red Dragon
Doom
Streets of Fire

The gentleman on the phone was very nice (same that I talked to before) and said he would see if they could replace the HP5 as I already have it. Put me on hold, and then came back to tell me that the ones I will be getting are ALL THEY HAVE LEFT.

So, anyone who sent their form in close to the purchase deadline can look forward to the titles above, as there were no movies to replace the replacements. Still 5 free flicks.

I'm willing to give streets of fire a chance, and Doom wasn't that terrible from a production design standpoint (being a theatre designer that can make a film worth watching for me even if the story loses me)

Just thought you all might like to hear that bit of info, from the horses mouth.

I called yesterday and I had sent the form in mid january and they said it will be a couple of weeks. But they told me I was getting the same moves I requested.
