Looks like it's in stock now on xploitedcinema.com. I believe it was sold out previously.

They also seem to have a Japanese version of Underworld with a TrueHD audio track. The others have DTS HD.

Jeravicious... I recommend skipping the U w/DTrueHD version mentioned above (since it's the theatrical cut), and pick up one of the other editions which contain the longer 'unrated cut' (with added scenes - helps explain some of the character's actions).

imdb.com - The "Unrated Extended Cut" contains 12 minutes of additional footage and 11 minutes of replacement footage.

I have both U (extended cut) and the sequel UE on Blu-ray, each with a net cost between $12 to $14 from 2007 discount sales (Amazon). Great quality and uncompressed PCM soundtracks. Also, nice bonus features, including a documentary on U about werewolves and vampires, and cast/crew commentary tracks etc.

Yes, those are the HD DVD options - looks like only that last one linked above (the theatrical cut) contains the SpEd bonus features (as provided on the Blu-ray).

Hey Falcon, I'm patiently waiting until the day that xploitedcinema -perhaps- has an "HD DVD clearance sale" with everything marked half off (or similar), although they probably don't carry large inventories of the HD discs, especially the premium-priced Japanese HD-DVD import titles. Otherwise (since I'm w/Blu-ray too), I can acquire most of those on Blu-ray whenever, and with others still to come.

Hendrix I'm also waiting to see if they have a sale on their HD DVD's. Even if they lowered the prices to $20 I would get at least 5 different movies.

We'll see if it happens. The way things are going prices may actually go up as inventories start to disappear. I just checked on amazon.com for the HD A35 and it's up to $699!

Thanks Falco!! I'll check that out too!!! I also check out those a35's and hot damn that is too much for that player. I should have taken advantage when they were 169. Do you recommend a refurbished model. I've seen them on tigerdirect for 179 and also on amazon's warehouse link refurbished at 170 somethin also. I've bought refurbished stuff before and I have no problems with them but since this is technology that won't be produced anymore I wonder if it's worth the risk.

Yeah $700 for an A35 is nuts. I shoulda jumped on one when they were $169 also but oh well.

I've purchased refurbished products in the past and have had no problems also. I would do it again too especially if it's way cheaper than a new model. Remember you normally get some kind of warranty on refurbished models so if there are any issues you're covered. Besides aren't refurbished models fixed and tested to be free of all issues anyway?

True. I have a friend that used to work at Fry's and he told me that although some of the products there are refurbs, they put it through an inspections and test it out. Also that's what tigerdirect does too. So I may get one when I get a 1080p tv.
