I don't know about your local Best Buy and Circuit City stores but mine sent back all their remaining HD-DVD's so for me all is left is Amazon and any other only deals I can find.

Think of it this way: The more HD DVDs that stores send back, the more copies the studios will have to sell to on-line vendors at even more-reduced prices. I just bought "Hot Fuzz" new for ten bucks, and I see used copies going for as little as five bucks. For HD DVD buyers, things couldn't look better. Relatively speaking.

I bought most of my HDDVDs online anyway. Most of the time BB and CC were simply way too high in price. I'm assuming that they will liquidate the disks to on line retailers and if so there might even be a surge in bargins at least for a while. If you really like spending money, Xploited has agreat selection of imports a few of which have been marked down.I pick up one or two of those from time to time. I watched Premenotion last night on a German disk. PQ was ok the sound was stunning. Steve

Well, the main reason I'm bum-out about this is because in my local BB and CC (wow, is there a store with "DD's"? lmao
), the prices were marked down so much that they were as good, and sometimes even lower than Amazon. Oh well, To Amazon!!! tahn, tahn, taaaaah (heroic music in the background

My CC sent their HD DVDs back well before their half off sale from a week or two ago. All of the Wal*Marts in my area (there are SEVERAL) have gotten rid of both Blu-Ray and HD DVD. I don't think any of the other retail chains in my area (K-Mart and Target) ever stocked either format. I'm not sure about my BB's as I hate them and their fucking Nerd Squad so I never go there. So, for whatever reason, HDM's are not catching on at all in my area. HDTV sales seems to be fine though. Strange.

Bring on the Super upconverting DVD players!!
Kidding. I do hope they are as good as the hype though.

DD=DeepDiscount...online, I know, but still worth it...
Anyways, Target still has blu-rays, but BB had a stand with 30% off HD DVDs (wow, what a price, lol)...shame for us...
Sadly, my bro's XBOX 360 Elite went AWOL
...was going to buy the HD DVD add on, but not until he gets it repaired...

BB had a discount table at my store. Picked up Happy Gilmore, MI3 and Fast and the Furious for $35 with tax!
