Eddie, I consider "Devil..." a classic (RKO), etc, and you don't - so no 'soap opera' explanation needed... don't let this reply cause you to interrupt another viewing from the 'Jason Bourne' trilogy [your favorite]. (which I own too as you know)

The Houston Astros are losing 8-6 in the 7th... bummer.

And just for you Eddie - here's another plug (link) for your online DVD movie reviews (and HD-DVD too). (which I check at least once a week).

Tim... it's just opinions and fair criticism. How come you enjoy giving critical opinions here (for many years now), but seem to resent when others do the same to something you've said?

Because when it's coming from YOU I know you're just being a pompus ass, as I've known you to be for several years.

I'll remember what you arrogantly said ^above Tim, the next time I read one of your opinions on a thread topic, and for which you don't respect others who disagree and provide criticism.

And by the way, here's a new image for your avatar logo (by your name)... (and well-earned) -

And here's YOUR new avatar Jimi Love. Enjoy!

Oh, and don't think I haven't taken notice to how you plagiarize me lately by posting picture orgys, as if your long winded posts are not bad enough. But by all means, it's a free world, so go right ahead and plagiarize me all you want -- it isn't like you'll get your own thread dedicated to YOU.

Nevertheless, Love, let's examine. In my first post, let me requote:

"Oddly enough, my favorties may change after the years pass. I can't say which is my all time favorite, but at the time, there are a few I'd put up there for critical and personal reasons. I think it's all in how great films connect with yourself. Mine, at the time, are:"

I'm pretty much pointing out that my taste may differ from yours or anyone elses IF you can manage to read between the lines. Take notice to words like "personal reasons" and "how great films connect with yourself".

Eddie then does a little friendly teasing at me as he knows how much I enjoyed Ultraviolet, a film known for horrid reviews. I tease him back with Final Fantasy, another film with low critical value. Mind you, teasing for fun is a little more different than taking a stab at my personal GREAT film choices, as you did:

Love said -- "but American Beauty??... Uh, no - definitely NOT "the BEST movie of all time".

Take notice to your question marks. I'm the only one so far at this point in the posting that mentioned American Beauty, therefore your little jab is certainly pointed at me. I have no problem with the fact that you don't care for the film, but your remark is clearly to insult me for mentioning a great film you consider mediocre.

Now go through the entire thread -- there are several films I wouldn't ever consider great, or even good, that have been mentioned here, but I made no snide remarks to anyone for their choices or taste. And after Chris made a sarcastic comment on my choice I posted this:

"Ok, is the thread about what each of us consider their choice for BEST movie, or are we all here to bash each other's choices?"

I ask because I'd like to know if the thread is going to turn into a boxing match. I don't mind putting the boxing gloves on, I just wanted to know if we were sharing our picks for great films or if we're here to argue over our picks. I figured we were all just doing a little friendly sharing of great film choices and nothing else. However, with yours and Chris's remarks, it's clear we're here to turn a constructive thread into trash.

So, as I said, go through the thread (with the exception of Eddie and I teasing each other for fun) tell me who I've made a jab at for thier film choices? Believe me, there are a few films mentioned so far by others I find complete garbage, but I have refrained from making any personal stabs or comments about any of them because I don't want to insult someone for their taste. Yeah, love, what was that you were saying about "respect"?
