Well, I took a chance today and purchased a used copy of AVP:R two disc at my local used store for 10.99 and inserted the second disc, let iTunes load up, entered the code from the case, and it actually worked. Someone sold the set, which had obviously been watched (as evidenced by the fingerprints) and didn't redeem the digital copy code.
The digital copy is a nice resolution and appears clean, long story short looks great full screen on my HD 20" iMac monitor. Only two channel sound, but since it will mostly be viewed on my iPod anyway, I think I like the idea of having a legit copy of the film for my handheld video player, and other computers (that I authorize through iTunes, so no sharing with friends)
If I can continue to snag more digital copy special editions with unredeemed codes for the price I did today, I'll be a happy camper. Tomorrow: JUNO for 11.99, hopefully with an unused code!

Gotta love the digital copies. Hopefully more and more blu rays come out w/ them. That was my main point in liking hd dvd combos. Now I can take my ipod to my cheap relatives and let them watch my movies.

Watching movies on ipods? Is there an addiction specialist on this forum?

I'm sure many, many of the readers and posters on this site could qualify as addicts. That aside, I usually watch something on my iPod during my lunch breaks at work, helps drown out the gossip being spewed around me...
I'm not going to comment on how much better AVP:R is than said gossip however...
It can officially be filed in my guilty pleasure section of the collection.

If you have an hour long train/ferry commute to work like I do, then a Zune or iPod is ideal for music/movies/pictures. Much better than a bulky portable DVD player that you have to plug in and worry about movie discs as well. Portable media players are also awesome for downtime at work. I have a bit of that as of late so I kick back and watch what ever it is I have on my Zune at the time. Usually it's a Star Wars movie or some action flick like Kill Bill or something like that. The other day I made it all the way through LOTR: The Two Towers. The extended version. Man, it's good they make Zune's in an 80GB flavor. The entire Star Wars series, The Matrix Trilogy, Kill Bill 1 & 2, and the entire extended LOTR series is on my Zune along with a full complement of about 50 CD's worth of my music. They are pretty kick ass little devices.

I purchased an 80-gig Zune for my daughter and fell in love with it, so I purchased one for myself! Tonight I showed it off to my friend Dominic and we immediately went to Best Buy and he purchased one for himself. I can't believe I have 309 CDs, 3607 songs and 171 artists and it hasn't even used a quarter of the hard drive yet!
Usually I'm picky about compressed sound but I was surprised how well the Zune handles it. Granted, the iPod and Zune lack in EQ quality (in fact, they have none. You get the "we know what's best for you" one setting). However, I cheated that issue a little tonight and purchased $100 Bose inset ear phones and they are freaking amazing! Much, much better than the standard ear phones that come with the Zune, as the Bose ear phones deliver such a rich tone and astonishing bass! It certainly takes the whole Zune experience into overdrive! Nevertheless, it is by far the funnest gadget I've owned in years and has made me feel like a kid gone wild in a toy store. Plus I have all the adapters to hook it up to my home stereo! The Zune is a freaking blast and everyone should own one! What an awesome, cool little toy!

I really wish I could afford a Zune80. I'm getting a Zune30 though.
