My local Rogers Video had a "massive movie sale" this weekend starting saturday morning, and by saturday afternoon, they had sold all the hd dvd's. They sold at 2 for 20 dollars and now they are officially gone off the shelves. Curious thing though, the shelf that had hd dvd's is now full of PV titles and the blu ray section has gotten smaller. I asked if there were any blu ray titles included in the sale and the sales staff mentioned that blu ray sales are almost non existant in our local stores (five in total) and they are waiting for word from head office about what to do about this slow start. I never asked about rentals and there were no blu ray titles included in the sale price this weekend.
I picked up "No Country for Old Men", "There will be Blood", "Walk Hard Dewey Cox Story", and "Dan in Real Life". All on SD DVD but all for $40.

I went to mine, but no sale, and all the same HD DVDs that were there a week ago for sale are still there.
