Finally got to watch this movie and all I can say is...WOW...superb acting, just excellent, great cast, and great story. Who would've thought that the director (or any) would pull this off? I thought I was in for some lame and stupid sex comedy, but oh no, it was well worth it.
I think the same way A.I. reintroduced Pinnochio, Lars... did with the 'imaginary friend'...there are some funny and akward moments that make you laugh so hard, that it's unbelievable. IMO, a 4/5...
The pace might've been a little bit slower that I would've liked, but they were able (once again) to pull it off...if you've seen the movie, I love the thing on the PTA and Bianca...hillarious!
Some say that it relied to much on this, or that, but heck, it was more enjoyable than a few movies I've seen lately. What do you think? Have you seen it?

This is a really good movie IMO. I'm actually surprised you liked it, because to be honest I didn't think this kind of movie was "your type". There were no big giant robots breaking buildings and stuff.
But there was lots here that not only made you laugh (and not at the guy), but also made you think. It was sensitive and heartwarming. My wife loved it too.
Amazing that this grossed less than 6 million at the theaters, and yet it gets 80% fresh at Rotten Tomatoes, and a 7.8 popular vote at IMDB. That was enough to pique my interest to rent this one. Too darn bad the video transfer was so terrible on DVD because there were actually some otherwise nice cinematic moments.

I'm gona cry Skyhawk
...just because I love blockbusters that doesn't mean that I can't like worthy pictures...I love Citizen Kane, 2001, Ben-Hur, etc...
Oh, and you know too much about me, lol, you can join Hendrix as Mulder's partner...
I just didn't know what I was getting into when I began watching this movie, again, I thought it was going to be a sex comedy, and it was not, it was really something different...funny, and with akward moments, and once again, I love the PTA and Bianca thing, hillarious...
Having watched No Country for Old Men (in theatres), There Will Be Blood (DVD), Juno (DVD) and Atonement (DVD), I can honestly say that, IMO, NCFOM is by far the best, it's not too much like Blood, or kinda stupid like Juno, or too sentimental like Atonement...but of course, I like violence...I still have to watch Michael Clayton...and still, out of all the movies I watched during 2007, Charlie Wilson's War has been the most entertaining, along with Ratatouille...
