There is a huge difference between "Jack Ryan" and "Taking Lives"... Yeah,I can see this set of movies being a "collectors item" because the movies are well regarded. If the Star Wars trilogy were on hd-dvd, I would probably pay ALOT of money for it because wellll thats MY thing and I would be too impatient to wait for the Blu-Ray. But I would not buy this as an investment. If you have the cash and you want this set. GET IT. I was just trying to remind people that the movies they seek will eventually be on Blu-Ray,and not to go all crazy on these so called "rare" titles.

What bladerunner says is true, this will be available later on blu-ray, with the exact same A/V quality...now if you are buying it because it's going to be a collector's item, then you are right too. However, I don't think I've been so desperate for a movie that I've spent more than I should've...

Sorry if I disagree with you...but as a collector, if someone really wants something, be it a HD DVD that you find worthless or a priceless Ming Dynasty vase you see in a yard sale...you will find a way to get it.

You and I are not in a position to tell someone that what they covet is stoopid...

I just paid 15 bucks for a ultra cool Boba Fett action figure. Is that stupid too?
