Agreed Wolf. They pulled this similar tactic when DVD came out. For the longest time, they didn't support writable DVD's. In Blu-Ray's market, they had't put the finsihing touches on the format before it release.

Well, I guess the title of this thread says it all, now doesn't it...
Given the choice between spending hundreds of hard earned dollars on a new format or saving those moneys for the tough times that are before us...decisions...decisions...I am betting that that new Blu-ray player will take a back seat to basic living costs.
Sorry to be glum about this people, but unless the world does a complete 180 degree spin, we are heading into a really interesting next 2-3 years, economically speaking, that is...

I'm busy stocking up 1'000's of cans of Spam and Twinkies in my bomb shelter, along with ammo, guns, and virgins that will be useful when the world will need repopulating. But I have been also buying a few Blu-ray disks here and there to keep us entertained in the shelter when society as we know it collapses.

Hey there Jason... I think tylerdurden is referring to the following 'Warner stinker' coming to Blu-ray...

Hendrix,
I kinda figured it was that one. Ya know, the "stinker" which made $93 million domestically and another $162 million in foreign cinemas on a budget of $105 million. Creatively, yes a stinker. Financially, a winner.
Jason, wants to see 10,000 A.D. The Movie

Oh really, someone is predicting that with our shitty economy, that people will spend less on entertainment?
Oh wait... there's some breaking news coming in over the wire...
THIS JUST IN, RAIN TO FALL SOMEWHERE AT SOME POINT IN TIME IN THE NEAR TO DISTANT FUTURE.
Where's that guy with the MAST OF THE OBVIOUS picture?

Actually tylerdurden was probably refering to Be kind Rewind. I haven't seen it but I heard it was a stinker and that it had low box office results.
