Got my A-35

YO what's crackin guys. I got my A-35 player and I gotta say it's a nice lookin hd dvd player!! I bought it through warehouse deals on Amazon ($158) and it is a refurbished model. At first I had doubts about it since it is refurbished, but once I opened the brown box I saw the orginial new mint Toshiba A-35 box. After opeining it, I got the two free hd dvd's that orignial comes with the hardware (300 and bourne identity), plus they thrown in The big labowski, pride and prejudice, and hot fuzz. Those were not shrink wraped and my bourne movie has an promotional disk sticker on it. I wonder if these movies are used. I watched the bourne movie and it's a complete movie so I guess that good. The rest of the packaging was great. Everything was packed as if it was brand new. No skuffs or scratches. If anyone wants to get an A35 or even something refurbished I would recommend you guys to warehouse deals on amazon. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and my dvd's and HD DVD's looks great!!!

"pride & prejudice" is a very nice hd dvd...great picture and audio.

Yea no prob! If you can look for a really good deal on this player I say go for it. It upconverts really good, and HD picture is nice. I can't wait to get a sound system to go with the great picture.

I heard a lot about pride and prejudice. I've seen the old one, but not this version. I was debatin on getting it last month but when I got my player I was pretty happy that it came with it. Still gotta watch it since I just bought more HD DVD's at frys.

If I can find a good deal on an X2 I'll be happy. But I'll be fine right now with my A-35, and my A-2 and my 360 add on as a back up.

I use the A35 regularly to watch not only HD DVDs but all my regular DVDs. It upconverts nicely. Besides, it looks good sitting next the Panasonic BD30 because they're both exactly the same size, shape, and color. And now that the war is over, they get along fine.

Is Pride and Prejudice good enough to buy? I love Keira Knightley but wondered if it might be too much of a chick flick.

Nice pic Steve, they do look good together and coincidentally they both have blue lights.

Does the BD30 have 5.1 analogue outputs for the audio? I don't remember.

hey guys i can't find the deal fot thr A35 on amazon, think they must be sold out.

How good is rather getting an XBOX add-on to buying a stand alone player? (note that our XBOX 360 already went thru the red ring of death... )...

Anyways, would it deliver the same quality as my HD-A2?
