Nice pic Steve, they do look good together and coincidentally they both have blue lights.
Does the BD30 have 5.1 analogue outputs for the audio? I don't remember.

Ironacly the blue light is a more pleasing color on the A-35! Yes, the BD30 does have analogue outputs. Both players are connected through the analogue outs via a switching box.

It looks like a Denon but not sure which model it is.

Steve since you are using the analogue outputs for hidef sound do you notice a big difference when listening to Dolby Digital or DTS as opposed to Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD?

I'm thinking of using the same type of setup that you have.

Wal Mart has the A2 for $55.00 and Best Buy(if they have any left) have the A30 with the free movies for $125.00

It's a Denon AVR-2800. It's getting a bit old, but it performs very well. I do notice a difference with the DTS HD and the Dolby True HD even though they are being downmixed to whatever through the analogues. On both players, the sound is cleaner with a lot more directionality and dialogue is a lot easier to understand. Even older DD tracks sound better to me through the analogues. There's a lot of wires behind this setup, but, in my opinion, it is well worth the effort. Perhaps I'll upgrade to one of the Onkyos or another Denon sometime in the future, but right now, I'm very satisified with what I have. Steve

YO Tony, my bad I think I got the last refurbished A-35 on amazon. As for the stand alone vs. 360 add on, to me, the stand alone players are a whole lot better. My A-2 is better than my 360 add on and can up convert better. Stand alones are ment to play movies, so they got all the features for that. If I were you I'd try to get me a stand alone for a good price if you can find one.
