OMG Tim!! I'm speechless.... not!

Kidding aside, I am so proud of you Tim for choosing plasma, and you will see many, many years of satisfaction with that Panasonic plasma! Maybe that 'unique' YouTube commercial help seal the deal? <just kidding again.

Again, it thrills me to see you buy the best - PLASMA. I've own both LCD and plasma, will keep buying plasma until they stop making them! Remember, the first 100-150 hours of 'break-in', to keep your brightness and contrast at a lower (reduced) level. And enjoy!

LOL!! I did get a Samsung Upconverter DVD player along with it, plus the guy knocked off $200 on the TV. I asked about the HD DVD player, but he had none in stock, oh well.

Ya good point Hendrix. Tim do NOT have any still images or news tickers, etc for the first 100 hours at least as it can cause burn-in. After that you'll be fine.

Tim I just saw an HD A3 on craigslist for $90 in Toronto and it comes with 300 and Bourne Identity HD DVD's. Check craigslist or other sites in your area.

I'll have to see, I have 30-days on it, so if i don't like it i can bring it back for something else. The tech was telling me it's a new model and the only one that actually guarantees 1080p upconvert. Well, we'll see.

Wow Tim, when you decide to plunge into something, you don't hold back!

Now you really get to see how crappy standard DVD is ("upconverted" or not). Actually, I'm sure that TV is probably as good as upconverting a 480i signal as most upconverting DVD players are anyway. You should get a Blu-ray player (beg, borrow, steal, or buy) just to do a comparison then decide which player to bring back.
