anyone else get a split second green screen when a disc has loaded (before the movie studio symbol)?

i have noticed that when this happens sometimes i get playback problems.

I remember seeing that once or twice. Haven't seen it in a while, though. I also had a few playback issues with my A30, but after the firmware upgrade, I haven't had any, and I can't say I've seen the green screen lately either.

Maybe HDMI "handshake issue"?

If you are using HDMI, look there first. Try turning the player on before turning your set on.
