Just saw Iron Man. Stay to the end of the credits for a surprise it's worth it.
Edit: I meant the topic title to say stay to the end OF the credits.

Well, what about the movie itself?
Was it really good?

The movie was a blast, sorry it's late here and I'm a little tired. Very fun, Robert Downey Junior is fantastic. Great action scenes and they did a good job of updating the origin story for the 21st century. It'll probably force me to buy a Blu-ray player this fall.

Some info about IRON MAN (<view trailer), from the May issue of Popular Science (pg. 56) (I'm a subscriber) --
Yes, it's another comic-book movie, but this one begins with a womanizing boozer and ends with a pair of mad geniuses in robotic suits dulking it out. The story follows inventor Tony Stark as he develops an exoskeleton that lets him outrace planes, fire missiles from his forearm, and fight crime, with no superpower beyond his own engineering ingenuity.
GEEK CANDY - the suit. Shane Mahan, a designer who helped construct the exoskeleton, says, "It's really a wearable jet."
EXPECTED GIBBERISH QUOTIENT [EGQ] - Medium-high. The film skips features of the comic's suit that seemed too farfetched, such as an undersheath that's genetically engineered to pop out of his bone marrow. But, come on, it's a wearable jet. -[END]-

Note: there's also a feature-length article on THE REAL IRON MAN - It Doesn't Fly (Yet), but Today's Most Advanced Exoskeleton Turns Soldiers Into Superheroes (pg. 44). While audiences flood theaters this month to see the comic-book-inspired Iron Man, a real-life mad genius toils in a secret Utah mountain lab to make the mechanical superhuman more than just a fantasy. two words: "nick fury"
(by the way, iron man wins--which should be no surprise as there will be a sequel.)

Wow, that suit looks nice...let's hope it helps our soldiers on the battlefront...
Oh, and the end of Iron Man, the 'easter egg', has already been spoiled...

I've watched those trailers several times now, and this movie looks incredible! I'll go see it next week. Robert Downey Jr is simply one of the greatest actors of our generation (anything he's in is improved because of his prescence). The movie will probably will be a monster hit too - and super titles like these should help spur end of year adoption into Blu-ray Hi-Def... hopefully.
