Well, last week it was some Fox titles on sale for $19.99. From today thru Tuesday you can find 24 Fox Blu-ray titles on sale for just $14.99 from an area FRY's Electronics (mainly in California and Texas). Here in Houston, we have 3 super-large Fry's. Also available online at their website - www.outpost.com (under the Movies tab at top)
And, of course, you can also take the adv to a local Best Buy for their price-matching, so as to earn Reward Zone points towards their timely gift certificates ($5 earn for every $250 in purchases).
Here's a SALE LIST of the $14.99 BD titles...
Die Hard #1, 2, 3, 4
Kingdom of Heaven
The Simpsons Movie
Mr and Mrs Smith
The Day After Tomorrow
Independence Day
I, Robot
Alien vs Predator
X-Men 3
Fanstastic Four 1
The Hills Have Eyes 2
Ice Age: the Meltdown
Eragon
Rescue Dawn
Mr Brooks
Sunshine
Night at the Museum
28 Weeks Later
Pathfinder
Me, Myself, and Irene
Robocop (Fox distributed title)

Regarding that mention of the Alien vs Predator pic printed twice in the Fry's adv, it's been confirmed on another forum that it rather should have been the image for Man on Fire (the 25th sale title), as the inventory code numbers (for all of the discs printed in the adv) include an entry for this title. So, obviously the AvP: Requiem sequel is NOT a part of this $14.99 sale.
And on the outpost.com website, you will have to do a search to find the titles which have the sale prices. I only did a couple myself, but would think all should be listed there. If not, those ordering online may have to phone in their orders to their main contact numbers -
Sales and Customer Service - service@outpost.com
Toll-free (within U.S.):
1-877-688-7678 or 1-800-856-9800
International: +1-408-350-1484
Sales/Customer Service Fax: 1-408-487-4700
For myself, I'll probably pick up a few of these at my local Best Buy (by price-matching), to earn points towards Reward Zone certificates.

> The sale is definitely on frys.com (and outpost.com). When you search for the titles, it might show you a price of 29.99, but once placed in the shopping cart, the 14.99 is confirmed! <
So, you can either buy from a local store, at the online website(s), or phone their office (see post above) to receive the sale price. Looks like the economy's downward slide is a benefit in this case, in our receiving lower-priced movie discs. Maybe other studios and/or retailers will follow with eve more titles at reduced prices.

$20 shipping to Canada for one Blu-ray movie is too pricey for me.

~ Pic (below) of the actual (huge) Fry's store near my home (just south of Houston) not far from NASA's Johnson Space Center...

By the way, here is an IMAGE of the Houston Chronicle adv (see the $14.99 BD titles near the top). And maybe we will see another round of $14.99 Fox titles in a few months (Master and Commander, Patton, The Sand Pebbles, etc). Like I've said here several times - it's always beneficial for consumers to wait 2-3 months after a title is released, and then watch how cheap the prices are lowered. Some of these might even be cheaper than the SD-DVD edition (this weekend). Fry's often has the lowest retail prices (and sales) among electronics retailers.

I didn't call, I went through the checkout and filled out the form. Before I completed the checkout process it told me the shipping was $19 and something. I was going to buy 28 Weeks Later.

I sent my wife down to a local Fry's in Southern Cal and she told me they also have some HD DVDs for 13.99-14.99. Unfortunately I don't recall all the titles that were priced at that level, but she did tell me most others were 22.99 and up. So, if you happen to visit a Fry's around your neighborhood, check out their HD DVD titles too.

"I Robot" in particular has some of the best video you'll see in any high-def disc.

Good call John - I rented the Blu-ray of I, ROBOT a few weeks ago and it's one of the best yet. Also, the behind-the-scene featurettes were quite enjoyable, although I didn't watch thru them all (but did some scanning). The crew and extras seemed to really have a fun and rewarding experience working with actor Will Smith. And the movie's OK too, although, since I'm a fan of Disney's TRON, I could easily predict the scenario concerning the robots.

YO Geo,
I went to my frys the other day to take advantage of these deals and they had a lot of HD DVD's left. I wish I didn't order some from deepdiscount because they were a lot cheaper at frys and had the movies I wanted. Now I'm still waiting for more than two weeks for my movies and deepdiscount said that they were in full stock and I should get the movies soon. Oh well, I'll just get some other movies.
Besides that I got Ice Age, Simpsons, and Me, myself and irene for 15 bucks each. Now I hope Paramount and Universal come out with good deals when their slates are released

Glad I didn't rent it. Else I would have wasted money needlessly.
It's what I consider an "owner". Both sound and video are so amazing, the movie could be complete crap and I'd still buy it. Luckily I actually like the movie too. it's one of my show-off reference disks. Tim I think would love the transfer on this one.

I remember the iRobot DVD looking REALLY good so I can only imagine how good the bluray version looks.
