Finally saw the movie yesterday, and it didn't dissappoint....but first things first, the trailers.
To hear the Indiana Jones theme for the first time in a theatre, that's awesome, just great...the Dark Knight trailer is really good, though not as good as the first trailer (not the teaser)...the Prince Caspian trailer also good...and a few others including Hulk, which, ehh...but what has to be the worst premise and trailer and acting by Mark Wahlberg, is the bee movie from Night M. Shaymalan [?]...not only did Wahlberg's acting look incredibly HORRIBLE during the trailer, the bee premise is kind of stupid after Sixth Sense and Signs you would argue there could be something better, but no, it gets worse (the Village) and worse (lady under the water[?]) and worse (this bee movie)...UGH...unfortunately no Wall-e trailer...
So, on with the movie...I have to admit that being a somewhat 'war' movie I felt (and still do) that it has a pro-war military propaganda theme (yeah, moan all you want, you know it's true)...Downey Jr.'s acting is superb, just marvelous. The three suits that Tony Starks creates are also great...however, I never felt the 'wow factor' at all during this movie, specially that he will 'run out of batteries' thing, it just doesn't seem like something credible (yes, it's a movie)...
The movie moves at a nice pace the overall acting is good. But also, I felt like I was watching Hulk when the 'bad guy' became the 'bad guy'...also, I still don't care for Tony, AT ALL. There is nothing for me to care for him, nothing, unlike Whiny Wayne (death parents) or Spider-man ("with great power comes great responsibility"...), there is nothing that would make him the superhero, and no, whatever he saw when he was captured, did not seem like it made an impact on him...
Still, once again, the final suit looks awesome, the visual effects are also great, and let's hope our summer blockbusters keep up the good work like this movie...
Oh, and yeah, after the credits, there is a brief scene between Tony and Nick Furry...

TRANSFORMERS ROCKED! How could you say it was a bad movie. Thank goodness you are the minority as box office results prove. Now they will make a second which I cant wait for. Now you probably shouldn't go see the second since you were so dissappointed with the first. We will enjoy it for you

Transformers wasn't just bad, it SUCKED! I think I only manged to get through 30-minutes before I walked out, I figured I wasn't about to have the other 1 1/2-hour of lame cliches done better in other films robbed from my life. There are plenty of blockbusters that made good bank, but were also trash. Blockbuster does not equate to great movie -- in many cases it's the exact opposite.

More cliches than Die Hard 4.0 (which you said was better than Transformers)???
Come on! At least Shia didn't jump to a flying jet from a highway
...not even Iron Man did that...
