I know that ths is a movie site but I had to share this with you. While I'm typing this I am listening to one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard for a video game. If you are a PS3 owner and play games like I do, treat yourself to UNCHARTED: Drake's Fortune. I must say that it rivals some of the best soundtracks Hollywood can muster. Rarely do I find myself enjoying the music as much as the game but WOW. The music sets the tone for the great movie like atmosphere that you control. I knew that Dolby Digital is used in alot of video games but the dts soundtrack for UNCHARTED is amazing. At the end when the credits were rolling and the amazing dts tracks laid down by The Skywalker Symphony Orchestra was playing I felt like I just got finished watching one of the best movies I've ever seen and heard.
Metal Gear Solid 4 is rumored to have uncompressed audio, if that's the case then I'll be spending alittle more time on the gaming side of my PS3.

Great game, great story, the best sound ive ever heard Unfortunately one of the few on ps3 but hopefully thatll change.
Tony if you haven't played any of the metal gear games you will be completely lost. Ive played em all and I don't know whats goin on. They are fun unique games though.

I've played MGS2 and loved it. In fact I have a PS one emulator for my computer and MGS2. I love stealth games since I can't play FPS's because I get sick. I hope that they bring out an UNCHARTED II with uncompressed audio. Who knows it might spawn a movie?

I am a score fan so I have to check that out.
Tony, have you heard the Halo 3 score? A truly amazing score by Michael O'Donnell Martin / Salvatori and with games beating movies and music in revenue it is no surprise they are starting to get world class scores as well.

From what I've found out both the Halo and Uncharteds soundtrack are available for download from iTunes for free. The iTunes part of it I believe but the free part I'll have to investigate.

I Video Game Soundtrack I really enjoy is "Mass Effect" rivals some epics movies in my opinion.
