I should explain.
If Toshiba does indeed release both TVs and DVD players then this widens the potential customer base as a DVD player will be a cheaper option.

If its true that Super-up is a noticeable improvement over SD and up scaling then the stories we see stating the average user doesn't see enough of improvement in quality to move to Blu-Ray will be around for a long time.
