I have an opportunity to pick one of these up for $175, in box. I know it's an old player, and I believe it's only profile 1.0 compliant, but I want to know whether it's worth grabbing. Will a profile 1.0 player still play all new Blu discs, but simply be unable to play the interactive content? Is this player even any good?
I've already picked up a few discs, and I have an HD DVD player and many titles, but I've been waiting for the newest combo players from Samsung or LG before I buy my Blu player. I'm thinking maybe I can pick this one up for now, and when prices drop a bit on the new combos, then get one of those as well, and this and my A30 can be my back-up players.
