Even dubbing the movie in English is better than those terrible remakes.

I see what you're saying, but making a buck is what business is all about, and Hollywood is a business like any other. Very few filmmakers make a film for the love of it, knowing it's going to lose money. Very few studios and very few backers are going to support such a film.

Also, if you go back through movie history to any given year, you'll see that there were just as many losers as winners, critically speaking. We just tend to look back on past years and remember only the good, making those years seem a lot better than they were.

True. We always tend to remember the good stuff when looking back. It's human nature I guess. Some years are going to be better than others also. It's just the way it is.
