Eddie now says this...
Gee Eddie... now you've changed your mind(?), as I read your English words before, and there was no mention of limiting your intention to just "works of art"... let's review what you said previously once more -
Gee Eddie... you did say the word ANYTHING... (hehe) - should I take the time to quote Webster's dictionary to you, sport?
But OK... let's limit it to "works of art" and remind everyone of your ignorance again - "Americans piss on anything non-American" - hey, I wonder if that includes you too(!)
So... forget (Japanese director) Kurosawa for a moment, as I should have plugged the biggest, artistic Japanese export -ever- to worldwide filmgoers...
GODZILLA
Try to keep up with film history Eddie, since you -are- the college grad in this area.
I wonder what the many Japanese producers, directors, crew, media in the production of Gojira (original title) would think about your (really!) ignorant comment - "Americans piss on anything non-American".

I just recently picked up the Blu-ray edition ($15 sale) of PAN'S LABYRINTH (English title)... hey, the man who gave us this work of art, is writer/director Guillermo del Toro - a MEXICAN.
And one of my favorite 'bad movies' - SHOWGIRLS - is from renown DUTCH director Paul Verhoeven (Robocop, Total Recall, Starship Troopers, etc), with a screenplay by HUNGARIAN writer Joe Eszterhas (Basic Instinct, Flashdance, Jagged Edge, Betrayed, Jade)... and what do you know, the film was produced by MARIO KASSAR - of Beirut LEBANON
~ a rare Japanese anamorphic import "Squeeze" LaserDisc (16x9 enhanced)

...shall I go on Eddie?
OK...ever hear of famed producer Dino De Laurentiis - ITALIAN, or the man behind the James Bond novels, Ian Fleming - BRITISH...etc...etc...etc...ETC
How about the BEATLES (music) BRITISH - (do Americans like ^their works of art??) your buddy Tim Raynor is a big fan, and I'm pretty sure he's an American citizen living in sunny Arizona.
(well, surely you -get it- by now... or not?)

Yeah, I knew it (^above)
- you just don't get it sport! (such a pity)
Hope you didn't spend too much on your college degree, since you're playing dumb now about the popularity of Gojira (Godzilla) worldwide, from over half a century ago. Has nothing to do with how much "I, Loverboy" like it or not, but thank you for caring posterboy!!
