View profile »The Pioneer ELITE plasmas have some additional convenience features, and also come PRE-CALIBRATED right out of the box, unlike most HDTVs, which are sold in the unnatural "dynamic" or "vivid" setting (aka "TORCH mode"), causing the colors to be overly saturated, the brightness and contrast to be way high (etc), and are the worst settings for watching movies in a dark room, realistic environment.
Parts wise, I don't think there is any difference between the regular plasma vs the Elite, although you might want to compare the product line at Pioneer's website.
