Ok heres my predictions for the summer
Box Office Winner - Indiana Jones (have you met anyone who doesn't like Indiana Jones?)
Best Reviews - The Dark Knight
Sleeper hit - Traitor (Guy Pearce my gf wants him and I want to be him
Worst Movie - Wanted (The curving bullets is a little much for me, sounds like a crappy version of Shoot em up) or Postal
Biggest Let Down - The Happening (I like Wahlberg but he looks bad in the previews)
Most Likely to be Good - Wall E (Has Pixar done anything bad?)
Anybody w/ their own?

Bugs Life is T-O-R-T-U-R-E and Nick Cages voice doesn't help this movie either.
For the most part Pixar movies are entertaining. I just watched Toy Story and man it was funnier than I remember.

Chicken Little sucked, and I don't even think that's Pixar.

As far as biggest box office...I think it's a tossup between Indy 4 and Dark Knight. Unless some other big blockbuster comes out for the holidays.
I predict Indy 4 will be # 1 followed closely by Dark Knight. It's fun to predict after all and I'm almost never right.

I'm going to go out on the ol' ledge here and say, "Dark Night". And if your smart enough you will figure out why i'm standing on that "LEDGE".

Heath Ledger as the Joker will definitely be a huge draw. They will both be pretty successful but as to which grosses more...anyones guess. I'm guessing even with Tim's massive crystal ball we may not know for sure at least for a few months. I know I'll be seeign both in the theatres.

most of that sounded like opinion (original post)
although i agree with some others, finding nemo was ok, but hyped so darn much and just got on my nerves more than any other cartoon movie. (and im not easy to get anoyyed)
i gotta say WALLE or whatever is called, has made me finding nemo sick.... with just the previews.

I'm going to waste my money on Dark Knight. Not so much and Indy fan, but I might go see it.

I don't know...."Hancock" could take the sleeper hit title this summer. Looks pretty funny and full of action.

Hell Boy will be good but might get over looked(already did in this thread
) and be underrated.
WALL-E will be huge (I am sucker for Pixar and other animated movies).
Dark Knight will own this summer!
Indian Jones will break box office records.
Five Sleeper hits
1 Hancock
2 Tropic Thunder
3 Don't mess with ZOHAN!
4 Love Guru
5 Star Wars The Clone Wars

Not sure Hancock can be considered a sleeper. It has Will Smith, a big budget, a huge promotion with the largest electronics retailer in the US. Im pretty sure people know about Hancock.

Hello,
I think you are all forgetting The Mummy 3 and Prince Caspian.
Prince Caspain will easily make over 250 million if not 300 million when all is said and done. Many Christians and Fantasy enthusiasts will come back again and again to see this movie.
Brandon Fraser has a huge falling and is a very good actor. He has 2 great movies out this summer. The family friendly "Journey to the Center of the Earth" made my Walden Media (The Christian Studio who made both Chronicles of Narnia movies, several other successful movies) and of course The Mummy 3. I saw both trailers and I can't wait to see both. Family friendly movies draw a bigger audience than R rated movies on a very high average.
Indy and Batty will do very well but Prince Caspain and The Mummy 3 will do well as well. This will be a big summer for movies.
Humbly,
Graf Ulrich 88

Either Indy or DK will do the best, with Wall-e and Iron Man trailing behind...
Hellboy will be as good as DK and Wall-e, but will be overlooked...the Incredible Hulk will suck (unlike Hulk)...
And Hancock looks like it might be, but it's not good..
Oh, and my Pixar letdown is and will be for a while, Finding Nemo...it's just not on par with Toy Story 2 or the Incredibles or even Cars...

Ironically, I agree with Eddie on this one - IRON MAN - why it took so long for someone here to mention this film (under the thread's subject) is surprising. Also, PRINCE CASPIAN will be up there as well.

Ok so I have a bet with a few different friends for a total of $700 about which of the following two is going to do better at the box office worldwide....
Indiana Jones 4 or Batman The Dark Knight
I choose Indiana Jones 4 and they all choose The Dark Knight
I was 100% confident when I made the bet a few months ago and I am still 100% confident that I will win
Does anyone agree? Disagree?
So far, 6/4 Indy 4 has already made $481M worldwide which is $105M MORE than Batman Begins did a few years ago

Well, I think Dark Knight will be a much better movie but it does not have the same appeal to a wide audience as Indy 4.
I also would bet on Indy 4 and if you count world sales I have no doubt that it will be Indy 4.

Probably, but she does like my kind of movies which is an added bonus.
She's been enjoying the new TV while she's been here. Of course, she wants to watch all the eye candy movies -- 5th Element, I Robot, etc. you know, that kind of stuff.

tim,
you need to be a good father and show your daughter classics like "AVP" and "transformers".
