YO what's crackin guys! Yesterday I went into circuit city and bought an lg bh100 for only $219. I was told that it was on display for about a month and it was mint. I got everything but the box and manual and they couldn't find the orignial remote so I think they gave me the bh200 remote because on the remote it says "super blu" instead of multi blu. Everything looked flawless.

Anyways the player is nice and plays the discs fine, but for some reason I get no audio. I hooked up the hdmi to the player and tv and nothing. I never had this problem with my hd dvd player and when I was at circuit city the sound worked fine with their set up. Does anyone own one and know how to solve this problem?? I tried pushing the home button since there is no setup button like how the bh100 remote has and nothing happened. I don't know how to enter the set up menu or anythin. So if someone can help I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to return this because it's a combo player and I got it for a good deal. Thanks!!

Jeravicious, check to see if there are any firmware updates for it. Maybe that will fix your issue.

Also how do you have this hooked up for sound? Do you have an optical cable going to a receiver? Is the sound going through your HDMI cable straight to your TV? Maybe you need to configure the sound settings on the player itself, it could be setup to go through HDMI or optical but you have the opposite connection.

By the way, just so you know, the LG BH100 has issues playing the interactive (HDi) content on HD DVD's. Apparently it does everything else without a problem.

I know that "Home" brings me to the set up menu on my BH200, which does have audio options to configure the sound output. I don't know if there was a different set up button on the 100, so you may want to do a little research. I think you would have to be able to configure the sound options first before trying anything else. Can the store get you a 100 remote?

Thanks guys for the useful info!! At first I just had it running from an hdmi straight to my tv. Since that didn't work I went back to circuit city and I the lousiest service. After two hours nonsense I picked up an RCA cable and hooked that up. The sound works fine. I will update it soon so I won't have any other problems.

I heard about the HD DVD menus on this player being not that great. I can confirm that. Instead of the cool menus you get from a universal movie or other HD DVD's, you get a generic menu. It's cool though, because I still use my a-35 to play my HD DVD. I mainly got the bh100 because it was a cheap bd player.

As for the home button, I tried using that to get to my settings menu but it didn't work. The bh100 remote has a settings button that can take me to that menu. Unfortunately I was given the bh200 remote, so I'm going to look for a bh100 remote to switch the audio setting in the future.

Thanks again guys for all of your input. This player is a good buy and so far with the movies I tested, they all work. Peace!!

To be honest, the BH100 remote looks identical to my BH200 remote. I can't imagine there's that much of a difference.

timmy timmy, oh Mr. I know everything timmy...do your homework son. There is a difference.
bh100 with set up button

bh200 w/o the setup button, instead it has a home button.

BTW, for the bh100, if you don't have a surround system and your BD doesn't support PCM you will get no audio. I'm not sure if the 200's are like that. Hey interplanetaryspy maybe you can confirm that. thanks again guys
