Well I am going through a divorce and due to the fact I am downsizing my house my 58" Panasonic 1080P Viera Plasma had to go too

I loved the picture on the plasma but when I was shopping for a new 46" set I stumbled across the Samsung LN46A650. I have always been a plasma fan but I was blown away by the cosmetic look of the new Samsung. The set has a glossy black bezel with a red hue to it...hard to explain but it is much more subdued than what it looks like in this picture.

More importantly than how the Samsung looks, is the picture it produces...and it is great! The image quality on this set is quite amazing by far the best of any LCD I have seen. The Samsung has a myriad of different features and just about any connection you can think of (including an ethernet port). I also got a free high-end digital point and shoot with my purchase (Samsung NV24HD). Anyway, for those of you interested in an LCD, I would seriously consider this TV. The black levels are great, the whites super bright, and there is lots of shadow detail.

Thanks for the review. It's good to know that Samsung is putting out some good LCD's, especially since they are generally lighter than plasmas and use less energy.

Sorry about the divorce though. Hopefully the Sammy brings some joy
