Why is it in this movie it looks like what ever the visual focus is at any given time is popping off the screan? It looked strange to me

I think the special effects/CG popped up fairly easily, very visible...at the beginning with the dawn outside Area 51...

Thanks to George Lucas the movie has been overdosed with CGI. What used to be a movie that is enhanced by some special affects is now a movie of special affects enhanced by a few real things.

To be fair, they do stand out as much as matte paintings stand out in the older movies...so basically, it is the same thing...
