loverboy: as you know, i've enjoyed high-def with my hd dvds for more than a year, so i know what you mean about being "addicted" to high-def. i don't deny that the blu-rays that i get look and sound better than their sd dvd counterparts. however, as you also know, i'm very, very, very discerning, and there hasn't been a single movie released on blu-ray that has made me feel like my collection is "missing" something.

skyhawk: once again, you're putting words in my mouth. i've never given positive/negative reviews just because a movie was released on a particular format. i've written both positive and negative reviews of hd dvds and blu-ray discs. you don't want to read my reviews--fine. however, don't talk about the contents of my reviews as if you know them (since you haven't read them).

Wow. I feel the same way that Eddie does about Sony.

What I don't understand is why, a certain few here, feel the need to constantly put Eddie under the sucker punch spotlight! He's stated many times how he feels about SONY, however, some of you dig up any opportunity to try and burn him at the stake to no end! I mean, look at the title of this thread, and knowing how Eddie feels about SONY, tell me it wasn't meant to provoke him into an arguement . . . even if just a little bit?

So, the format war is over and there are no more broken record battle fields on the message board. Now the new thing is to attack anyone who's not on the Hi-Def bandwagon?! For the love of Gods creation, how freaking childish can some of you people possibly get?! Look, Eddie made his choice and I admire people that show integrity and stand by what they believe. Some of you need to stop backing him in a corner everytime you feel the need to pat yourself on the back over your superiority of owning Blu-ray.

I own the exact model Jimi Love is trying to push onto Eddie ( & others . . . yeah, right ). Never once have I ever pressured Eddie to go out and buy the model I have. I've never sent him private emails pushing the product nor have I ever started a thread telling Eddie he needs to get the BH200! And why? Because I respect his integrity. Then again, that's what friends do for each other, they show respect for one another. I think some of you (Jimi Love & Skyhawk) can manage to do the same.

I like Eddie's movie reviews, I think they are done very well!

I'm sorry but I may have missed it somewhere. "Why do you hate Sony?" I mean i'm kinda soured at TOSHIBA. They are the ones that left the game. (because of the power of PS3). But I dont HATE them for it....

2005 Rootkit fiasco. check
Exploding batteries inside Vaio laptops. check
More DRM that makes Blu-ray loading times worse. check
Pointless proprietary formats like UMD,Minidisc ect.. check

Those are my reasons. Lets see what Eddie comes up with
