Quote:My question is whether the Captain America movie will take place in World War II for the whole movie... or if they'll follow the Ultimate Marvel version, Where he gets put into a state of suspended life and is discovered by Tony Stark 60 years later.

That's what they've been mentioning, which would make lots of sense and would tie in with the new Marvel movies...

...as for DC, again, we need all the Justice League members to have their own movie first, then "unite them" in a JLA movie (and I would applaud anybody who would undertake an Aquaman movie )...oh, and I still want my Lex Luthor movie...

Quote:While excusing the typical religous conservative language, what do you have against "hppies". They managed to change many Amercian laws through activism than any other time in history - and this applies to woman's, as well as racial rights..

Actually skyhawk republicans voted at a much higher rate for the civil rights act than democrats. True conservatives believe in rights for everyone (yes that includes rich people), unfortunately true conservatives are drowned out by the louder bible thumpers. Many black leaders at the time, including Jackie Robinson, were republicans.

Im not really sure how you think "hppies" actually changed anything considering they didn't vote or even have a job. Also hippie is just a slang nowadays, im sure the original post wasn't referring to drug abusers of the 60s.

Sorry for the confusion, but my mention of "conservative" had more to do with the traditional definition of the word rather than a specific American political party. My reference to hippies wasn't the non-voting unemployed heroin addicted narcissist, but those activists who took part in sit-ins at college campuses, who held anti-war, anti-discrimination, etc. demonstrations and rallies by the 100's of thousands. You know... the ones that may or may not have actually given a sh!t, but introduced and sustained a powerful idiological call for change in many aspects that still reverberates today. I'm sure many of them were "republicans" too. In other words, by "hippie" I assumed this referred to the traditional term given to a specific historical social movement during the 1960's.

Hippies were a bunch of drugged out commies!

Seriously the far left radicals are worse. The far right can be pretty bad but they aren't such wimps.

Back on topic
AntMan and Namor don't seem bankable to me.

I'll take a hippie over a bible thumper any day.

If by wimp, you mean "haven't started as many genocidal wars" I'm tempted to say you're right, but there's always Stalin to throw off the equation.

All the Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk, Batman (Batman Begins excluded), Superman (the second half of Superman Returns excluded), The Avengers, Fantastic Four, etc. movies suck.

The only comic book movie to get it 100% right was Sin City.

Yeah, that's right, I said it.
