I just recently got Dish Networks 40 HD channel deal ($29.99 a month with 3 months free). I have to say it's quite amazing. Loving every minute of TV watching now. I used only antenna for a couple years but now that they offer HD-only plans(thats a new thing) I couldn't resist. The thing I thought was interesting is that the picture was very clear with component connections but the colors were screwed up. Didn't matter how much I messed around with my tv's settings, I could not get it right. Hooked up a HDMI cable and all was fixed.

Anybody else have this plan and what do you think of it?

Sounds like someone may have mounted the component jacks out of order on your receiver.

Satellite is my backup to Over-The-Air reception for HD...cable compression here is horrid, to say the least...

Glad you found a fix...an HD TV receing SD TV is a nasty waste of technology

XStreamHD will offer 1080p and lossless 5.1/7.1 surround sound audio soon enough all via satellite. Good news for everyone! I wonder if that will just be for movies though or if they will actually have some TV programming in those specs?
