I put this one off because I always thought like it was an American movie pretending to be a foreign movie. But now that I watched the zip rental tonight for the first time, damn was it good. I put it on my Amazon order due next week cause I think I could watch this again in a few months.

Skyhawk, I cannot remember if you had or have a HD-DVD player or not...
But if you do, you can pick up Letter from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers on HD-DVD from dvd.co.uk for 10 pounds for the two of them...about $20US...$21CDN.
Cheers...

I thought Letters was really good. I too avoided it for some odd reason, but I caught it a few months ago and loved it. My only complaint would be to Clint for not putting any African-American's in the movie! Dang white directors always keeping the black man down!

Now you got me wondering how many African-Americans were actually in the Japanese army.

I have Letters from Iwo Jima on Blu-ray, and I think this movie is far superior to Flags of Our Fathers in just about every way.
