I am back again for one more question before a decision is made. I picked up a rain check at Walmart for a Samsung BDP-1500 for $388.00 I get a $100 gift card with that(fathers day special) and have access to an employee discount. That would basically bring the total for the player to $250. I haven't read any bad reveiws on this player and it seems to be upgradeable to 2.0. What are your thoughts?

I have read nothing but good reviews on it as well. That was my first choice of BR player but when I was getting mine I didn't have the deals you are getting. I would go for it.

i picked it up also, except i used my friends employee discount. lol

but is a solid player. alittle tiny faster than the mighty panny bd30. and has ethernet port. sleek look in the rack, decodes alittle and sends the rest to the receiver. good power on times, pretty good load times, and has the resume feature. so far so good... no issues and have player several recent discs!

Hey Kuco, are load times as good as the PS3? And does it bitstreams? I might get this instead of the Panny 50.

i dont think is quite as fast as the ps3, close. it bitsteams! i finally see those red lights ... light up on the onkyo, and the sound is noticeally better than my ps3.

has ethernet, and samsung plans update to 2.0 leter on in this. dont think will beat the panny 50. but def the 30. bd50 gonna cost an arm and leg... and prob a testicle. even though ill still check it out when is released.

the resume is pretty good. power on times good. and the price 350 minus 100 walmart gc. was def good.
