So when was it that bluray prices were suposed to come down? I think that for the price of the insignia at Best Buy or the Magnazox at Walmart I could get the wife to agree to let me buy one. So basicaly I want one in the very low 300's. Was it Christmas this year or some time next year they said players would be that low. I would buy a ps3 but I don't like the idea of installing everything. Oh the answer to this is not the price will never come down because of Sony's Monopoly btw. But monopoly is a fun game.

I have read in various posts that before the movie plays you have to install it. If that isn't true it makes the ps3 look alot better since i have heard it does very well upconverting dvd which the magnavox doesn't do very well. Plus game informer game mgs4 a 10 and it looks like fun

I just got a PS3 two weeks ago (40G) and have watched 3 BR movies on it. There was nothing to install except the software updates and if you have a wireless router it takes no time to do it. My PS3 works great (so far).

I use my PS3 just about every night for movie playback and have never installed anything prior to playing. I wonder if I'm just missing something.

Well where I read it was probly something a person meant to deter people from buying the ps3. Do you know if the cheap one will come with the duel shock 3? I really like the vibrate function but I don't want to have to buy another controler for it I almost never play anything multiplayer unless its online.

It comes with the SIXAXIS wireless controller. I haven't played them yet but there are some games that actually have a motion sensing function where you can move by movie the controller (Similar to Wii but very limited. You don't swing it to hit a ball on a baseball game, etc, etc).
