OK, suffered the "Bucket List" last week, and now this one. This one was even crappier - I mean much worse. I don't remember the mountains and cliffs in freakin' Key West last time we were there 3 years ago... did some earth quake change the landscape completely?
It's not that they couldn't film on location, but that they couldn't even pick a location that resembled the island, let alone then believed that no one would see the movie except from a small village from a developing country and therefor would not notice. Oh wait, I'm from a small village in a developing country and I noticed! Hmmmm...
This kind of fluff isn't entertaining at all, and to think our rental store had this at #1 rental this Tuesday? WTF? I don't mind Hollywood recycling EVERYTHING from past movies - but do they have to execute all the (now) cliched ideas worse than ever done before? Is it like some sort of freakin' contest?

Watch Tarzan, you get to see Bo Derek without a bikini. Plus she's infinitely more beautiful...at least IMO.

Fool's Gold = Kate Hudson fully dressed throughout movie = bad.
Fool's Gold = McConaughey bare chested throughout movie = bad.
Honestly, this movie had nothing redeeming going for it.
Anymore questions?

She was in as many scenes in a bikini as McConaughey was in wearing a shirt. One 10 second scene?
I think there were way more "hot shots" of Alexis Dziena, while Hudson remained fully covered up in most of this film.

Bosshog if you want to see Kate Hudson in a bikini, then go to lazygirls.info and search her up.
Watching Fools Gold is not worth it.

I really enjoyed the romantic comedy hidden treasure concept, when it was called "Romancing the Stone"

Suddenly, Fools Gold doesn't seem so bad.
We tried watching a much worse movie than Fools Gold last night... called "Witless Protection". After 20 minutes, we stopped the movie and I sealed it up in the Zip return envelope, and watched "Rent" instead.

And I watched "Fool's Gold" after just having suffered through "10,000 BC." I guess it's all relative. "Fool's Gold" was pretty empty-headed, but next to something really, really boring like "BC," it looks like an Oscar contender.
Then there were "Funny Games," "The Eye," "The Ruins," and "Drillbit Taylor" that I recently watched. "Fool's Gold" is looking better and better all the time.

Ouch John, darn I'm sorry to hear 10,000 BC. is so bad. I'll still give it a rent though, but from my zip account where it will be cheaper and make up my own mind.
But you have to realize that we rarely never cut short watching a movie because it's bad. Normally, we suffer to the end and give it a fighting chance to redeem itself somewhere. Not so with that "Witless Protection" movie. It was just too much, and I knew where it was going, how it would end, etc. from the 20 or so minutes we did watch. Perhaps culturally I didn't get the humor, but I do with similar movies that are much more original. So I blame the movie. 1 out of 10 stars.
