Only six? I have no doubt they will sell well if they sell all 21 films, like the Ultimate boxsets...this is good news for you Jimi!

All things in time.

But I wonder why MGM chose the six films they did for their first non-"Casino Royale" BR releases. I can understand "Dr. No" and "From Russia With Love," but why not the more logical "Goldfinger" as the third Connery title? And why the Brosnan "Die Another Day"? Were these somebody's favorites at MGM or their biggest profit-makers or what? Or did the studio not want to release too much of the good stuff all at once?

Oh, well, "Dr. No" and "From Russia..." are among the best Bonds ever, and "For Your Eyes Only" is one of Moore's two best Bonds, so batting .500 ain't bad.

Great news.

"For Your Eyes Only" is one of my favorites and "Dr. No" also ranks high. So, all in all a good start

I heard that Lowry was restoring the Connery films at 4K resolution, so they should look pretty amazing. Although I think they actually restored Goldfinger first, so god knows why that isn't on the list.

Live and Let Die and Die Another Day would surely rank as the pond scum of the Bond films, so that's a bit mysterious.

I wonder if it has anything to do with availability of HD material.

LOL... Live and Let Die is "pond scum"? - No, in my opinion <that term should be reserved for The World Is Not Enough instead...

Both of ^those films you mentioned above, -delivered- the Bond goods in fine fashion (unlike World/Enough, the worst Bond ever made in my opinion), and LALDie features a great musical soundtrack by the famous Beatles producer, George Martin, with the awesome title theme sung by Paul McCartney. And it's got that great 'New Orleans jive', happening throughout. Also, Rick Baker helped create the visual effects.

While this press release is good news for Blu-ray, I'm disappointed that a COMPLETE BOX SET is not being released anytime soon. I refuse to buy these 'independently', and will just rent each instead... except for For Your Eyes Only, which is my very favorite of the Roger Moore films (contains a great lively musical score by Bill Conti of Rocky fame).

Live and Let Die isn't that bad.

It has the legendary jump over a road in a speed boat and don't forget the Sheriff

I have to say. I can't wait for remastered bond classics in full 1080p HD.
