The Coppola Restoration Collection has already been on stores here in Mexico since 4 weeks now (On DVD of course).

Yes, it was released in various parts of the world including Europe.

I'm sure the US version got delayed so it could be released alongside its HD counterpart.

Wow fantastic news. I'll be waiting for the bluray version.

Has anyone seen these new restored DVD versions that have apparently been released already in Mexico and Europe? Noticeable improvement I assume?

"The Godfather and The Godfather, Part II underwent extensive frame-by-frame examination and restoration utilizing state-of-the-art digital technology in this historic preservation effort, which required more than a year to complete. Robert A. Harris of the Film Preserve supervised the restoration under the direction of Coppola and cinematographer, Gordon Willis."

So, Parts I and II are complete, frame-by-frame restorations and Part III is a remastering.

John
