I don't mean to sound like a fanboy defending a movie I haven't seen, I just don't think being dark and realistic is a legitimate gripe here.

But don't you know every single comic is impossibly good looking guys and gals running around in neon spandex spouting cute one liners for two hours? Sheesh...

Kidding, of course. This is The Dark Knight, after all. And Batman is the darkest mainstream hero.

Hey falc. have you seen the shot Dark K. in the blu Bat Begins?

No I haven't. I actually want to see it but I already have the HD DVD version of Batman Begins so there's no point in buying the bluray version (unless it cracks or gets badly scratched). I'll probably rent the bluray version just to see this video you guys are talking about.

This is the guy who beat Robin to near death with a crowbar, only to later detonate the building.

I guess is similar to Batman: Return of the Joker, where he messes up with Robin's head. BTW, that movie IS good, and I can't imagine how much better it would've been hadn't it been geared towards the younger audience...

Oh, isn't the IMAX aspect ratio closer to 16:9, hence why no black bars?

EDIT: As posted in this thread.

Yeah he's not a nice person.

He also paralyzed Gordon's daughter (Batgirl) by shooting her.

The Robin I spoke of was the second Robin. The first Robin Dick Grayson took on the identity of Nightwing and would eventually beat the Joker to death, only to have Batman resuscitate him.

Yeah, Joker is probably the most sickest villain ever. He not only killed the second Robin, he also killed Gordon's wife (according to the "No Man's Land" novel I read. Plus with all the other dead bodies, he's a serial killer.

Just how many times can someone be beaten to death, and come back to life?

BORING

But damn dont that blu-ray prolouge for dark knight shine in HD, i think it is the best HD live action picture i have ever seen, and makes the batman begins movie look like a vhs copy of a copy of a copy.

Gary Cogill put up a video about his thoughts on the movie. I say "thoughts" because he really isn't reviewing, just recording his thoughts after seeing TDK.

He was so excited he called Christain Bale, Christian Slater

Apparently one of the previews before the Dark Knight is a trailer for Terminator 4 which also stars Christian Bale. Is this true?
