When I fast forward SD Dvd's on this player sometimes when I push play it will freeze up and I have to turn it off and back on again to fix this. Is this a common problem? I haven't noticed it with HD Dvd's.

If it's under warranty call Toshiba so you can get it serviced. It should not be freezing when you press fast forward and then play.

See if it happens in all modes (1080P, 1080i, 720P) as it may have something to do with that also.

KungFu,

I'd say it's probably not an isolated problem since I've experienced it, too (with my A35). It doesn't happen all the time, but occasionally if I push the fast-forward button on an SD disc several times in a row, starting and stopping, starting and stopping, it might freeze up. As you say, it takes just a second to stop and restart (at the same spot), so I haven't felt any pain, and I've never thought to ask Toshiba about it.

I can't even stop it. I have to take out the disk and put it back in which means I have to find my place again.

That's a more serious problem. Call Toshiba's HD DVD service-support line: 1-800-319-6684.

Get back to us with what they say.
