Wow. Looks like I'll be staying away from this one. I was looking forward to this movie a lot but given all the reviews I'll wait for it on video.
Great review by the way Jason.

Thank you sir. I've encountered some people online who have disagreed. However, many many more are in agreement. Even FoxNews.com. Which makes me shudder beyond belief.
I'm hoping for a much better result from this weekend's Wall-E.
Jason, no more Hancock!

Wow, I really thought that this one was a no-brainer. I love Will Smith, and have loved just about everything he's been in, but, judging from what I've seen in the trailers, this just looked plain dumb. I was planning on going to a matinee just to confirm, but, I think now I'll wait for it at Redbox.

The special effects in this movie looked like they were from a time when CG was relatively new. Whenever Hancock smashed or broke something, none of it looked like it had any weight to it at all. Unacceptable in 2008 for a Will Smith title.
Narrative was almost non-existent.

It's coasting by on the strength of Will Smith's name. That's it. Chopped down from an R rating at least twice, too. Meh. I'll go watch Men in Black again.
