ironman,,,,you would not use iron to make a flying suit in this day and age, you would use a lightweight alloy such as ikernell or a material such as teflon or carbonfibre

superman,,,,well today you would be called hyperman as super was so 50s, 60s, 70s + in the original superman film, superman flies around the world and saves lois by reversing time. which means none of the other films needed to happen because superman could simply let an event happen, and then reverse time and stop it from ever happening in the first place, and even the different atmosphere of krypton would not afford superman the powers he has, like how can he use those powers in space?

catwoman,,,,,,catshit

wonderwoman,,,,,,,with her satin tights, i suppose the theme tune was catchy and linda was breastfully sexy

Those are still not very valid reasons. First of all, Catwoman isn't a hero. She's mostly a villain that started out as a cat burglar. And she's a WOMAN, so the name fits.

Iron Man's first suit was Iron, but I don't believe the new ones are. The name just stuck because "Iron Man" also could mean stamina, like Iron Man competitions.

The others are like 60-70 years old, so do you really expect them to rename Superman nowadays? Come on...

Hyperman?? That sounds better than Superman??

No way.

(Sorry for the double question marks. It's more like an "are you serious??" question).

Bitten by a radioactive junkie on speed, young Tommy Thompson gained superpowered hyperactive ticks and agility. Using his powers, he became "Hyper-man!" Hyper-man lives in a secret hideout called the gutter, and cleans up the streets of New York City.

In the film, Tony Stark actually acknowledges that "Iron Man isn't even technically accurate" and explains what his suit is really made out of. It's just a name. Relax, man.

when refering to hyperman,

what i mean is, the same way hypermarkets have replaced supermarkets
so the superman of the 21st century should be replaced by hyperman

If we never have even heard of hypermarkets, supermarkets definitely have not been replaced by them.

Hypermarket IS in Wikipedia... as a store that combines a supermarket and a department store, aka, Wal-Mart.
