Quote:Democrats and Republicans agree on bailout!

Hold on there, Falcon...

It is not a done deal yet. From my understanding it is tentative, although I fully expect it to happen.

Quote:Just follow The Chosen One's (Barack Hussein Obama) political campaign.

I'm loathe to respond to this, but I will. I'll even stoop to this level.

John SIDNEY McCain is the other choice for president. Do you really want a girl to be picking up the phone at 3 am?

Seriously, though, it was the Republicans in both 2000 and 2004 who trotted out fear over terrorism to get people to vote for Bush. It was Republicans in 2004 who trotted out the fear over the destruction of marriage with anti-gay marriage ballot initiatives in order to get their voters out in force. It was the Republicans who showed video of the Twin Towers going down during the convention to remind America who's kept them "safe."

Sorry, double standard (while I don't agree Obama is campaigning on fear) doesn't work for me.

Jason, just the facts

Go ahead and cast your vote for Hussein, Jason, just the facts. I for one, will not. I like how you conveniently left out the "hate" part of the quote.

Quote:gossip, fear and hate sells BIG my friend.

The hate and lies that Obama's side has spewed are atrocious - there's no denying it. If you do, you're lying to yourself. Do whatever you need to do to help yourself sleep at night.

That being said...

I admittedly voted for Bush in 02 and 04. He has spent more money than any other US president and is partly responsible for the hole we are in right now. Gore was not the answer, Kerry was not the answer and unfortunately Bush was not the answer. The Dems hold the majority right now, what have they done? I think both parties have let the American people down. Period.

I didn't conveniently leave anything out. If you knew me at all from the boards, you would know I don't play that kind of game.

Quote:The hate and lies that Obama's side has spewed are atrocious - there's no denying it. If you do, you're lying to yourself. Do whatever you need to do to help yourself sleep at night.

Which lies? Come on, man, you can do MUCH better than that. Links, evidence and such, for example.

Quote:The Dems hold the majority right now, what have they done? I think both parties have let the American people down. Period.

I think we already went down this road last week. Bush has something like 12 or 14 vetoes to his name. One came with a Republican congress. The others? With the Dems. So Congress is putting legislation out there. Bush isn't signing nor working with them.

Jason, why?

Wolfen, Wolfen, Wolfen,......wehw. You voted for Bush TWICE? You, if not anyone else should be the first to cast your ballat for Obama. I noticed that McCain is now 9 points behind Obama in the Washington Post Poll, and according to the poll Obama is more likley to address the economy situation better than McCain.

Well, as much as I hate to admit this, the 700 billion dollar bail-out is needed. I was watching ABC Nightly News and it was mentioned that the next finacial crisis will be the credit card industry. Americans are 1 trillion (that's trillion with a t) dollars in credit card debt.

Quit misusing my quote out of context wolf. I was refering to us...not Obama. As in WE the people, eat this negative shit up.

btw
whats the longest thread on record?

EDIT:
I truly believe that the whole "Devil mark on the forehead" thing is credit cards. Always have. Thats why I have never owned one. Sure it has hurt me as far as building credit, but so what. If i cannot save to buy something, then i dont buy it. It's that simple really. I don't feel that taking out a loan for a home falls in the same category, unless ofcoarse you bite off more than you can chew.

I feel bad for those people. Truly, I do. Credit card debt: $0. Student loan debt: $0. Car payment: $0.

Looks like you and I are at an impasse, Jason. Suffice it to say, I don't agree with how Bush has handled his time in office. I thought I said that or at least worded it so you could draw that conclusion.

I'll take my chances with McCain, you take your chances with friend and associate of Mr. Ayers - Barack Hussein Obama.
