So...I just received four HD DVDs that I ordered last week, and that brings my total to 15...and for some reason, I think I'll keep on buying them, even when I still haven't bought the XBOX add-on, and I only have the HD-A2...are any of you doing this impulse buys too??

I mean, the format is over, and blu-ray looks promising (as in the future), but the low prices of movies in HD are just difficult to resist...

I was still buying up until a couple of weeks ago when I got some sweet deals at inetvideo.ca. Now though I pretty much have every HD DVD I want and my bluray collection is decent for me. Still if I see an HD DVD for cheap that I want I'll still buy it no question.

I bought one a few weeks ago when I found a small (Miniscule) selection of previously used rental copies for sale at Hastings. The one in particular was the two disc Beowulf. At 9.99... I couldn't pass it up.

I've been buying HD DVDs all along. Up to around 70 now. Have 3 players so I have no worries about them being outdated. When the Samsung BD-P1500 gets down to $250 or something else comes around at that price or lower then I'll think about investing in Blu Ray.

MV, I purchased 4 HD DVD's during CC's fire sale but I have'nt purchased any since. The ones I did buy were the dual DVD's so I could play them on both HD DVD and SD DVD. If I buy a dual player then I will continue to buy HD DVD's in the future. However if I just buy a Blu Ray player then I will no longer buy HD DVD's. I still love my A2, but as we say where I work, "It is what it is."

all I have been doing is impulse buys...heck, inetvideo got more than $300 worth of business in the last month alone...and let's not forget dvd.co.uk and thehut.com...both account for another $7-800 over the last couple of months...when the firesales really started.

I am somewhere up around 150-160 titles on HD-DVD and about 6 on Blu-ray...picked up a Samsung BD-UP5000 in a firesale as well.

Hello, my name is Andy and I have an addiction

Just making sure I'm not the only one...

But just the way Hendrix (who, by the way, hasn't posted in a while, where are you buddy?) has LD, we can all have HD DVD, with the advantage of it being HD quality...oh, and Inetvideo was the one who got my $50 worth of HD DVDs...

My name is Jose, and I also have an addiction...

EDIT: BTW, have you ever bought from http://www.cheapdvdstore.net/us/hd-HD_DVD?
