I am wondering if Indy 4 will be coming to Blu Ray. If it is coming in the fall, are they working on releasing the first three before then on Blu?
If they do intend to release these on Blu before the fourth comes on video, that would be the the kick that might push Blu over the 1 billion mark for 2008. I would so buy those on the day they are released on Blu.
I hope he does release all four and not just the fourth one while we wait for the first three to come out next year or whenever he feels like it(Speilberg).
Just a thought.

Studios usually use catalogue product to promote new releases. So when Paramount releases "Indy 4" on SD disc and Blu-ray, they will probably release the first three Indy films on BD as well. But they haven't announced it yet.

I just talked with my friend about movies that we would love to see come to Blu (Star Wars, Star Trek, Lotr etc....) and then he asked me if there were movies that I would not like to see come to Blu. I did not know what he meant so he said "Jaws" would suck on Blu because the better image quality might emphasize how fake the shark (Bruce) was. I think he might be a bit protective of his beloved classics as he freaked when "Christmas Carol" with Alistair Simes was colorized.
I could not think of any classics or blockbuster films that would look worse or have anything taken away from the movie with better image quality.

Anyone who is a fan of film or in preserving history should be freaked out when black and white films are colorized, edited or otherwise mangled from their intended look. So I do applaud your friend for freaking out.

You won't see ANY of the Indy movies on Blu Ray anythime soon. You may ask why? Well I will tell you. Because Mr. Lucas still has to re-release them first in SMELL-A-VISION, then he will Animate the movies and re-release them. Then his next move will to release them in BRAIL and finally 3D, ala Hanna Montana style.

Have a GREAT weekend!!!!
