You know, I will start off by saying I had absolutely no aspirations of seeing this movie at all. The kids wanted to see it, so my wife and I said ok... Well to be honest with you, I was shell shocked at the price of admission (2 adult and 2 kids) was a whopping $55... Yikes, not to mention I was not thrilled about the idea of a 3-D movie.

Anyways, After the "Fly Me to the Moon" Trailer in 3-D, I got used to the 3-D thing pretty quick. That Movie looks great! The movie itself was really aimed at Kids. Was it dissapointing, no. Considering I was expecting a lot worse, it was ok. The acting was ok, and the story was a bit of a Indiana Jones/National Treasure feel to it. For the kids it was great. The 3-D still where they tried to accent certain things, were a little dumb, but the general concept of the 3-D movie worked. I don't want to give anything up, as I don't feel that it is fair, for some that actually do want to see it. I'm interested to see if they will release a DVD/Blu-Ray 3-D discs. I will keep the family set of 4 glasses if they do. By the looks of all the previews, we can expect to see, three more 3-D features this year from Disney and New Line... Overall, the movie is entertaining, and great for the kids. I'll rate it close to the imdb rating. 7/10 from a parents point of view.

Good to know. Thanks Reaggie. My 6 yr old wants to see this and I personally have never seen a 3-D Imax movie so I'm kinda excited about it.

Reaggie,

I haven't been to a 3D movie is years, so my question might sound a little stupid, but do you still have to wear the 3D glasses or has the technology gone another direction these days?

Yes, you have to wear glasses. They look like Buddy Holly glasses, at least the ones we got. They are not the original Red/Blue or Red/Green combinations. What they do is blur the image with transitions phases of the objects. The glasses them self are tinted and convexed. Quite clear actually. I was surprised that the images were done in High Def, and the glasses did not really interfere with your vision. I've had corrective surgery and it was natural to look through. Someone who wears glasses may not enjoy the feature as much. My son found that his eyes were bothering him, so in certain scenes he opted to not wear the glasses, and watcht he blurry image. Not all of the scenes were 3-D.

Thanks for the info. I have never seen a feature film in 3-D. Was wondering how it was. Have you ever been to Universal to see the 3-D Terminator show. I was wondering if it had that kind of impressive 3-D or is the theater not true in your face 3-D.

Most of the movie is in 3-D. There were only a few shot that were semi 3-D then. So shots you could not tell they were totally 3-D. You could take your glasses off, and watch it like a normal movie. Like I said there were only a few scenes.

I saw the whole film. What 'shots' are you referring to as none-3d?
