sequels often have new actors replacing a previous movie's cast members, so it's not impossible for the team to use someone else to play the joker (maybe jake gyllenhaal?). however, who would want to be compared to heath ledger given how rapturous the praise has been?

You know that Chris Nolan had Mark Hamel and Sean Penn on his Joker list when he was making a decission about who would play the part. I mean if Mark Hamel grew some hair and dropped a couple LB's, he may look good for the part. Thats just me saying that though.

I'd honestly hate to see the Joker replaced. We could go with "Locked up in Arkham Institute" and I'll be fine.

AVAST YE! SPOILERS BE AHEAD!

Then again... If they did that they could kill him off, then him and his sister could be in the "Gyllenhall(sp?) Batman Death Club" together.

I thought Harvey Dent was good and well played but for me the Joker stole the show. Whenever he was on my eyes were glued to the screen sorta speak. What an awesome display by Heath Ledger.
