How much says the new punk will end up being his eligitimate son which he had with his instructor in Top Gun (Kelly McGillis?).

This movie has cornball written all over it but I've been wrong before.

Aside from being the first movie I actually heard in surround sound...VHS HiFi...a Yamaha DSP1...a stack of Bryston 4B amps...a couple of sets of Paradigm 11SE and a JBL bass bin...the surround experience is all I care to remember from this movie...except maybe Kelly McGillis

TG is one of the few cornball films I can tolerate. Let's face it it is a fun movie to say the least. However, to revisit just smells of Wisconsin's best cheddar. Again, Hollywood, give us fresh ideas and quit rehashing the past!
